The 3C17701 3Com 4924 SuperStack 3 Switch
provides flexible switching for server farms or wiring
closets. Improve performance across the network with this 24-port
10/100/1000 switch. This high-performance, compact, and affordable
switching platform is ideal for a large server farm or for aggregating
switches in a wiring closet. Its optional expansion module lets you deploy
additional gigabit media such as 1000BASE-SX, 1000BASE-LX, and
1000BASE-LH70 (long-haul Gigabit Ethernet) in the same platform
- Nonblocking gigabit switching performance delivers a forwarding rate
of more than 41 million packets per second across all of the 3Com 4924
ports
- Layer 2 switching functionality such as multicast filtering, virtual
LANs, link aggregation, and RMON supports demanding applications
